Modeling the Union Pacific on Two N Scale Layouts
You'll love railfanning the Union Pacific Railroad on these two layouts by Bob Bjerke and Bill Arseneau. Bob models the Overland Route from Omaha to Idaho in the modern era, and Bill models the La Grande Subdivision in Oregon's Blue Mountains as of the 80s-90s. Both modelers focus on railfanning and run long lash-ups of several locomotives.

Switching on a Small N Scale Layout
Mike Bucy's small layout is a great example of an N scale switching layout that can fit in a very small space (less than 6 x 6 feet, or 1.82 x 1.82 meters). The layout is built on a door with an extension to form an L-shape. He models two yards with several industries that he switches out. This short feature includes some photos of his trains at work and a diagram of the layout.
