Oregon Pacific Railroad
David Willis' Oregon Pacific Railroad is based in western Oregon in 1965. The prototypical Oregon Pacific was sold to the Southern Pacific in 1907 and never completed its ambitious route. In David's version of history, the OPRR is purchased by the SP but maintains its own identity and builds from Yaquina, Oregon on the coast east through the freelanced towns of Calapooya, Willamette, and Santiam. The HO scale layout is a switching layout with beautiful scenery and highly-detailed scenes that we think you will enjoy. The feature includes many photographs of the layout showing off the OPRR's SP color schemes, an article, and video of the railroad. A map of the layout is also included in the premium version of the magazine.

Old Boise N Scale Model Railroad Club
Our second layout this month is the large Old Boise N Scale Model Layout. The layout showcases a variety of industries in its Pacific Northwest locale. An exact era is not specified, as club members have the freedom to run a variety of equipment of different years and various railroads. This means you will see a number of different railroads in action. The layout includes logging, a paper mill, concrete facilities, agriculture, an intermodal facility, a steel plant, and a coal mine. You can visit this club in person if you are in downtown Boise. The feature has an article, photos, and video and includes a map of the layout.
