Museum Quality HO Scale Cajon Summit Layout
Based in about 1950, Jon Harrison models Cajon Pass in HO scale. This 26 x 63 foot (7.92 x 19.20 meter) layout focuses on the summit of the pass. Jon scratch-built many of the structures and carefully constructed the landscape with impressive precision, really capturing the look and feel of the place. You’ll see some of the Union Pacific’s and Santa Fe’s well-known passenger trains like the City of Los Angeles and the Super Chief. This feature includes many photos of the layout and a railfanning video. You’ll learn about the design and construction of the layout and some of Jon’s methods.
