Model Railroad Layouts in March 2024 Trackside MR Digital Download
Chesapeake & Ohio Railroading in the Allegheny Mountains in HO Scale
Come explore Joe Green’s HO scale Chesapeake & Ohio Ryder Gap Subdivision with us! You’ll learn about the planning and construction of his layout and railfan trains on the 30 x 31-foot pike. The layout is based in the spring of 1974 in Virginia and West Virginia. This is the first of a two-part layout tour, as next month we’ll delve into operations on the layout. Both features include many photos of the layout and a layout diagram. You’ll love seeing Joe’s freelanced prototype modeling. Perhaps you’ll recognize a few places, as many of the towns and structures closely follow prototypical places, but they’ve been relocated for the model. A railfanning video at the layout is also included in this issue.
Fine Scale Modeling of Oregon Waterfronts in HO Scale
Stan Schmidt modeled a freelanced Southern Pacific layout based in Oregon. We focus on his meticulously built structures and boats in Oregon’s waterways in this feature.
