Trackside Model Railroading
The December 2020 Issue Is Now OutHi everyone, Trackside's December issue is out. We tour Stan Oxendahl's amazing On3 layout this month. Also, please note that many subscribers are up for renewal (unless you subscribed for multiple years). There should be a "Renew for 2021 Now" red button after you log in if this applies to you.
Please add the email address subscriptions@tracksidemodelrailroading.com to your address book, as we have changed our email service and want to make sure you get our emails. Thank you, and we hope you all finish the year strong. (Here's to 2021!)

What's inside this month: Ithaca Bay Lumber & Transportation, Limited Explore Stan Oxendahl's impressive freelanced, narrow gauge O scale railroad on Canada's Pacific Coast. This little shortline is based in 1952, working the remote Coast Mountains and accessing the rest of the nation via ferry. Stan's customized geared locomotives serve the logging camps, mines, and little towns at the ports. On the video, Stan describes some of his techniques in customizing motive power and building structures from scratch. You'll love reading the story of this unique railroad (plus a bit of prototypical railroad history in British Columbia). The scenery on the IBL&T is hard to beat, and you'll get to see many full-page images of the railroad. Erie Lackawanna Memories Branchline We look back at some photos of Bob Stafford's HO scale layout based in the 1950s-1960s in NE Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley. You will enjoy this creative, urban branchline layout. Create a Tarp-Covered Vehicle We share how to make a tarp to cover a vehicle that can be removed for photos or operations. A PDF is included that you can print on your own laser printer.
